FAQs
Onboarding questions.
How working with Scaledger typically starts, and how we fit alongside your existing team.
1. How does the Scaledger onboarding process work?
We start with a discovery conversation to understand your business, accounting systems, existing processes and requirements. We then agree the scope and responsibilities, securely organise access and documentation, review the opening position and move your finance processes into a structured recurring workflow. See how onboarding works.
2. How quickly can we get started?
Timing depends on how readily access, documentation and opening balances can be organised. After a discovery conversation we agree a practical start point rather than promising a fixed go-live date.
3. What information do you need during onboarding?
Typically: your accounting software and access arrangements, a view of current processes, recent management or accountant reports, bank and supplier/customer context, and the services you want us to take on. We confirm the exact list during discovery.
4. Can Scaledger work alongside my existing accountant or finance team?
Yes. Scaledger is designed to work as an extension of your existing accountant or in-house team. We maintain records, reconciliations and reporting so your accountant can focus on advice, tax and year-end sign-off rather than day-to-day processing.
5. Can we start with only one finance process?
Yes. Many businesses begin with a single workflow such as reconciliations, payables or bookkeeping, then add further processes once the working rhythm is established.
6. How will we communicate with the Scaledger team?
Communication is agreed during onboarding and usually runs through email, shared cloud documents and scheduled check-ins. You have a clear point of contact and defined responsibilities, so queries do not disappear into a generic mailbox.
